Common questions

We've been asked all of these before.

Honest answers to the questions most people are a little nervous to ask.

Working with Jamie

Yes ✓ 100% free and there's no obligation. Jamie is an independent broker, paid by the insurance carrier only if and when you choose a plan. You'll never see a bill from us.
No. Our first meeting is a needs analysis — we listen, look at what you have, and send you a clear summary. If a plan makes sense, we'll say so. If your current coverage is already solid, we'll say that too.
Jamie is nationally licensed and can help families across the United States. No matter where you live, reach out and we'll take care of you.
A first conversation is 25–30 minutes. If you decide to move forward, most families are fully protected within two weeks. Some instant-issue policies take less than a day.

Life Insurance

Term covers you for a set number of years (10, 20, 30) at lower cost. Whole life is permanent and builds cash value over time. Which is right depends on your goals — we'll walk you through both.
Almost always, yes. We work with carriers that specialize in health conditions other agencies turn down — including diabetes, heart history, and recent diagnoses. We'll find the right fit.
Not always. Many policies can be issued without a medical exam — especially final expense, simplified issue, and some term products. For larger coverage amounts, a brief medical questionnaire or exam may be required. Jamie will walk you through what's needed.
It depends on your income, debts, number of dependents, and long-term goals. A good rule of thumb is 10–12x your annual income, but the financial needs analysis we do together gives you a much more precise number tailored to your family's situation.

Retirement Planning

Yes. Jamie helps families transition old retirement accounts into annuities to create reliable income in retirement. It's a common move when you leave a job or retire, and we walk you through every step of the process.
An annuity is a contract with an insurance company that provides a guaranteed income stream — either immediately or at a future date. They're not right for everyone, but for people who are worried about outliving their savings, a fixed or indexed annuity can be a powerful solution. Jamie will be honest with you about whether it fits your situation.

Cost & Coverage

The cost of life insurance depends on your age, health, the type of coverage, and the carrier. Term life is typically the most affordable option, while whole life is higher but builds cash value. Final expense policies are designed to be budget-friendly for seniors. We shop multiple carriers to find you the best rate — contact us for a free, no-pressure quote tailored to your situation.
No. Jamie is compensated through a commission paid by the insurance carrier when a policy is issued. Your quoted premium is the same whether you go through Jamie or directly to the carrier — you pay nothing extra. And if your current coverage is already solid, she'll tell you that instead of selling you something you don't need.

Claims & Support

You call Jamie directly. She handles the carrier paperwork and walks your family through every step — the same way she would for her own. You won't be navigating a 1-800 number alone.
Life changes — new baby, divorce, job change, house purchase. Jamie does annual policy reviews with her clients to make sure coverage still fits. Just reach out and she'll revisit your plan at no charge.
